Who we are |

The Center for Water Resources Conservation and Development is a Vietnamese non profit organization established under the auspices of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Association (VUSTA). WARECOD’s goal is to promote sustainable use of water resources in Vietnam. Through our community development program, research projects and Vietnam Rivers Network, we work to improve lives and livelihoods of riverine communities, encourage the balanced use of water resources, and make the public aware of the negative impacts of dams and destructive river development projects on local communities.

Research Program |
WARECOD’s Research Program aims at identifying and consolidating recommendations for water resources utilization and management. The Program also contributes by creating baseline information for community development projects at the research locations. These research projects are a prerequisite for our community development projects and provide feasibility assessments for each project, as well as guidance for consultancy and policy advocacy activities.
