This training session was attended by the representative of the commune leadership - Mr. PCT Le Tien Dung, 18 members of water quality and environmental monitoring groups of Tri A, Buon Don, Jang Lanh and Ea Rong, Thong Nhat village.

With the instruction from Tay Nguyen University’s lecturers, the training course has initially provided members of the community monitoring groups with the basic knowledge of the Law on Environmental Protection, water resources as well as the rights and obligations of agencies, organizations, households and individuals, thereby contributing to strengthening the capacity, the participation of people and local authorities in protecting the environment and water resources. At the same time, it would promote common understanding and raise the responsibilities of stakeholders in decision-making as well as protect the rights of the community in protecting the environment and water resources.

At the end of the training, Mr. Le Tien Dung - commune leadership’s representative, spoke about strengthening the responsibilities of government agencies as well as the responsibility of the community in environmental protection and water resources management. The training session helped participants understand more about the contents of environmental protection laws, people's rights and obligations, thereby helping a lot for the local environmental monitoring in the future.
